What I Do

When people ask me what I do, the easiest answer is “everything.” I’m known as a master facilitator, master consultant, master trainer and master speaker. However, above all else, I’m a master teacher. I believe everything I do falls under the category of teacher.

Sound confusing? Here’s a quick explanation of the main areas of my expertise:

Facilitation

Many people confuse facilitation and training. While they do possess some similarities, they are very different. Facilitation is the art of helping people reach their own conclusions– aiding their thought process, boosting their creative thinking, and helping them think clearly and effectively. I always say that facilitation is about impressing people with what they know, not with what I know.

I’ve put my facilitation talent to work in a lot of areas, but here are some of the most common: ``

  • Strategic planning
  • Change management
  • Marketing
  • Presentation Skills
  • Facilitation Skills
  • Team Building
  • Leadership Workshop
  • Sales
  • Customer Service
  • Time Management
  • Goal Setting

Speaking

Speaking is the art of connecting with audiences both small and large in short periods of time. Speeches have the amazing ability to affect people’s lives, and I pride myself on bringing the same amount of enthusiasm to a group of five people as I would to an audience of thousands.

Among other types of speeches, my speaking experience includes: ``

  • Motivational rallies
  • Keynote rally speeches
  • After Dinner talks
  • Preaching and evangelism
  • Educational In-Service Programs

Coaching

Coaching has always been one of my greatest strengths. Between my passion for coaching and years of experience, my coaching programs truly are one-of-a-kind. As a result of my expertise, many people know me as a “Trainer’s Trainer.” All of my programs are geared towards getting results for coaching facilitators, trainers, speakers and presenters.

Program Development

While I think the teacher or trainer is the most important aspect of any educational curriculum, they still need a solid plan and effective materials to achieve success. When you combine an expert teacher with expert materials, you are practically guaranteed to achieve success. My program development incorporates years of experience and tried-and-tested strategies to ensure success and results in the classroom.

e-Learning

It's a proven fact that people learn differently. When it comes to e-learning, there are many who believe that all you have to do is play a video for someone and ask a few questions at the end and that will satisfy the virutal learning deisre of today's busy person.

I believe that real e-learning is an extension of real curriculum deveopment. Video is critical in my mind but video alone is not powerful enough to lead to real behavior change or improvement. You need to infuse it with engaging activities that will test the learner. Challenege the learner to apply what they are learning and make sure that they are engaged with a multi sensory environment.

SInce people do learn differently then you should provide different modalities of delivery. Virtual learning has become really popular with many people today.

I have been involved in the e-learning revolution since the days of creating courses in flash. Now we have rapid development tools that can help us create coures that are engaging and really work. Take a look at some of the courses I have created for a few of my progressive clients.

Consulting

I like to think of consultants as people who are like a doctors for businesses: when something goes wrong, with something isn’t working as planned, or when a business would like to grow and be healthier, they hire a consultant to help them understand what’s wrong and what the solution is. Consultants offer vital outside perspective from an individual who is able to analyze many aspects of an organization at once, and bring experience from many different companies.

Video Production

As video is essential to many training programs and presentations, I offer full-service video production at my very own facility, complete with a green screen. My services include script writing, on-screen talent, filming, directing and editing.

I have had clients from all over the country visit my studio where we work together to create wonderful content.

Giving Back

Nothing brings me more satisfaction than giving back to my community. My two main projects are refurbishing minibikes to give as Christmas presents to underprivileged families and holding workshops on woodworking, bike and skateboard repair. I wouldn’t be where I am today without support from others, so it feels great to give back whenever I can!
